Our Lady of Mount Carmel
The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Novena honors the Blessed Virgin Mary as the patroness of the Carmelite Order and model of contemplative prayer. Through her gift of the Brown Scapular, she offers a sign of protection and a call to deeper devotion to her Son. This devotion seeks her intercession for purity of heart, perseverance in prayer, and the grace to live in faithful union with Christ under her maternal care.
Nine days of prayer begin on July 7, leading to her feast day on July 16.
DAY 1
Opening Prayer
O Most Beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother.

Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, you give us the Scapular as a sign of your motherly protection and a call to live close to your Son. On this first day, teach me to open my heart to the grace of God and to walk in holiness. Help me to trust in your intercession and to grow in love for Jesus each day.
