NOVENA TO ST. PADRE PIO

St. Padre Pio Novena honors Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, the Capuchin friar known for his stigmata, healing ministry, and compassionate counsel in the confessional. This devotion seeks his intercession for deeper conversion, peace of heart, and confident trust in Divine Providence.

Nine days of prayer begin on September 14, leading to his feast on September 23.

DAY 1

Preface
Oh most Holy God,
we humbly prostrate ourselves before Thy Infinite Majesty,
and we adore Thee and dedicate to Thy glory
the devout prayers which we now present to Thee,
as an act of devotion to your servant, St. Padre Pio,
whose intercession we are now imploring.
Day One Prayer
Oh holy Saint Padre Pio,
throughout your entire life you sought always
to love Jesus and Mary with your whole heart.
Help us that we too may always seek
to know, love, and serve God with all of our hearts,
and help us to seek His holy will in all things.
And for the love of God we ask the following grace:

Beloved St. Padre Pio,
we give this request to you,
seeking your heavenly intercession,
and we ask you to make this request in our name
before the throne of God.

Preface
Oh most Holy God,

Day Two Prayer
Oh beloved Saint of God, Padre Pio,
you were especially chosen by God
to bear the holy stigmata in union with Jesus for 50 years,
sacrificing and suffering all for the conversion of souls.
What intense suffering these holy wounds caused you!
But you bore this constant pain
for the love of God and for the love of souls.
We ask you to place this request:

and you comforted the sick, the poor, and the lost.
Help us, dear Padre Pio,
to imitate your example of compassion and charity.
Obtain for us the grace to serve others selflessly,
and to bring Christ’s love into every encounter.
We ask you to place this special request:

Your humility shone through every act and word,
never seeking praise or glory,
but always giving honor to God alone.
Teach us, dear Padre Pio,
to grow in humility of heart—
to seek God’s will above our own,
to serve without recognition,
and to find joy in hidden sacrifices.

Each day, you offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
with such reverence and love,
uniting yourself completely to Christ in His Passion.
Your union with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
gave you strength, joy, and the power to serve souls.
Help us, dear Padre Pio,
to grow in love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.
May we never take for granted this most precious gift,
but receive it with faith, devotion, and gratitude.

Through her intercession, you received strength in suffering,
comfort in trials, and protection from the enemy.
You taught others to love her dearly
and to trust in her powerful intercession.
Help us, dear Padre Pio,
to grow in love for Our Blessed Mother.
May we always seek her prayers,
imitate her virtues,
and draw closer to Jesus through her Immaculate Heart.

and brought peace to the troubled.
Even now from Heaven,
you continue to show mercy and aid to all who call upon you.
Help us, dear Padre Pio,
to trust in God’s mercy and healing power.
May we turn to Christ in our trials,
and offer our own suffering as a gift of love.

Your life was a powerful witness
to the redemptive value of suffering embraced with love.
Help us, dear Padre Pio,
to unite our trials with the sufferings of Christ.
Obtain for us the grace to bear our crosses
with patience, strength, and trust in God’s providence.
We ask you to carry this special intention:

Oh glorious Saint Padre Pio,
you are now in the fullness of Heaven,
beholding God face to face,
and interceding for those who call upon you with faith.
You promised to stand at the gates of Paradise
until all your spiritual children had entered.

We trust in that promise and ask for your continued prayers.
Help us, dear Padre Pio,
to live as faithful children of God,
to persevere in prayer and good works,
and to one day join you in the eternal joy of Heaven.
We ask you to take this final intention:
